About Me

I come from a small village called Payradanga located on the banks of the Hooghly River, a distributary of the Ganges River, in West Bengal, India. After completing my schooling at Chakdaha Ramlal Academy, I enrolled in Ranaghat College to pursue a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Physics. Later, I obtained my M.Sc. degree in Physics from Savitribai Phule University in Pune. I have completed my PhD in the Department of Physics at IIT Bombay, under the guidance of Prof. Mithun K. Mitra. Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at INFN Napoli in the group of Prof. Mario Nicodemi. My research work mainly focuses on Soft Condensed Matter and Biophysics, specifically on Chromatin structures and Motor-driven cellular transport. To understand the interactions between different proteins and biopolymers, and their effects on complex intracellular processes, I utilize the principles of statistical physics and simulations.
